Caring for a Sinus Infection

For a lot of people, there is nothing worse than getting a sinus infection, as the pain is something that can ruin and control your entire day or week if it is not taken care of promptly. Some people are much more prone to developing a sinus infection than others and get them all the time, and then there are those people who get an infection once and then never again. Infections and Children

Just keeping up with your children can be a full time job - and even then you can’t be sure you see everything that happens. They get up to so many different things, hide away in the most improbable places and run ahead of you so fast that they can end up hurting themselves without you fully realizing it.

Smaller children are probably easier to keep in your sights, but maybe it’s the ones that are just a little older, so they can play outside, that need the most care. Fungal Infection - What Is It?

Most of us have heard of a fungal infection before but are not exactly sure what the term implies. There are actually hundreds of different types of fungal infections that can develop on the human body, but there are a few in particular which are especially common.

Tinea

Tinea, one of the most commonly developing types of fungal infection, is a type of fungal infection of the hair. It is caused by yeast that normally inhabits the skin, and there are certain factors that cause these yeasts to convert to a pathogenic form known as Malassezia furfur, which causes the rash of tinea. Do You Know How to Treat an Eye Infection?

Eye infections are very common. An eye infection is an eye ailment that is caused by bacterial, viral, or other microbiological agents. Most people will experience an eye infection of some sort at least once in their life, or at least know of someone else who has.

Signs and Symptoms

Although the signs and symptoms of an eye infection will vary, depending on what category it falls into, the basic symptoms tend to be the same. This includes persistent itching, discomfort of the eyes, blurred vision, flaking of the eyelids, eye discharge, eye pain, swelling, and watery eyes. Children and Ear Infections

It seems that coming down with an ear infection is a rite of passage for a lot of children, as more and more children are complaining of having that piercing pain in their ears. But then again, there always seems to be that one child who never has experienced the terrible ear infection and most parents would wonder why. What is it that the parent of that child is doing so differently and what is it that really helps prevent these nasty infections?
